I forgot my password — how do I get back in?

Section titled “I forgot my password — how do I get back in?”

If this instance’s administrator has configured outgoing email, the Login page shows a Forgot password? link leading to a self-service reset form. If that link is not there, email delivery has not been configured on this instance — ask your administrator.

Why doesn’t the single sign-on button show up on the login page?

Section titled “Why doesn’t the single sign-on button show up on the login page?”

The single sign-on (OIDC) button only appears when this instance’s administrator has enabled it. It is not shown by default.

I turned on periodic reports but never get an email — why?

Section titled “I turned on periodic reports but never get an email — why?”

Report delivery depends on this instance’s administrator having configured outgoing email. If a report never arrives, that is the first thing to check.

Does the app support importing bank files such as OFX, QFX, QIF, CAMT or CSV?

Section titled “Does the app support importing bank files such as OFX, QFX, QIF, CAMT or CSV?”

Yes. Individual bank transactions can be imported from the Import menu of Transactions: OFX, QFX, QIF or CAMT bank files, and a CSV from any bank through a column mapping. The bank-statement (snapshot) importer is separate and only accepts CSV, ODS, or XLSX files.

How do archiving, the trash and Undo work?

Section titled “How do archiving, the trash and Undo work?”

Archiving hides an account or institution but keeps it counted; deleting moves it to the trash. Accounts and institutions support archive, trash, and restore — a deleted account or institution can be brought back from the UI. When you delete a single account, institution, planned transaction, categorization rule, snapshot or transaction, the confirmation message offers an Undo button for 8 seconds. Accounts, institutions, planned transactions, rules and transactions also stay in their trash, where you can restore them later. A snapshot has no trash page, so Undo is the way to bring a single deleted snapshot back; bulk deletes have no Undo.

I hold balances in more than one currency — how does that work?

Section titled “I hold balances in more than one currency — how does that work?”

Set a base currency in Settings, then maintain exchange rates on the Exchange Rates page (manually entered or auto-fetched). Totals and charts convert everything into your base currency.

Can I change the language or the visual theme?

Section titled “Can I change the language or the visual theme?”

Yes — use the language toggle for French, English, Spanish, German, or Italian, and the appearance settings for one of six skins (Fintech, Azur, Noir, Swiss, Aurora, Ledger) plus light, dark, or system mode.

Yes — see Mobile app for what it covers and where to get it. On other platforms, or if you’d rather not install anything, the responsive web app also works fine from any modern mobile browser.

I lost my authenticator device — can I recover my 2FA-protected account?

Section titled “I lost my authenticator device — can I recover my 2FA-protected account?”

Sign in with one of your recovery codes: on the verification step, choose Use a recovery code instead. Then generate a new set of codes, or turn two-factor authentication off and on again with a new device. If you have no code left, an administrator can disable two-factor authentication for you.

API tokens let you access this app’s API programmatically outside the web interface. Create a named token in Profile, copy its value immediately (it’s shown only once), and revoke it whenever you no longer need it. For a ready-made client, see Command-line client.

Why is my Spendable or Free to use figure zero?

Section titled “Why is my Spendable or Free to use figure zero?”

Only accounts whose Liquidity horizon is Immediate are counted by default, and new accounts start as Semi-liquid. Set it on the account form, or choose other levels in the Spendable breakdown. See Accounts & Institutions.

I opened a link and got a “This entry can’t be found” page — what now?

Section titled “I opened a link and got a “This entry can’t be found” page — what now?”

The address does not match any page, usually because of a stale bookmark or a typo. The page names the address you asked for and lists the closest pages, with how well each one matches. Pick one, use Back, or choose a destination from the groups below the table. If you were signed out, you are sent to the login page first and nothing is shown.
